On SUNDAY OCT 19, 9:30 am - 4:30 pm, Survivorship will be having a day-long workshop for survivors. The workshop will take place at the Alameda County Family Justice Center, located at 470 27th St, Oakland, CA. This workshop will be led by Dvora Gordon and Mary Ciafolo.

Art supplies and plenty of paper will be provided, and we’ll have suggested projects for the day. We will also have a “Nothing Too Hard to Share” support/discussion group on-going during the day. You’re free to join in, focus on a project, create something else, or be part of the support group. We’ll open with sharing/check-in, then devote most of the day to art and/or writing and/or discussion and close by sharing your projects and thoughts with the group, if you want to share. You can participate at the level at which you feel comfortable.

We will also be asking for thoughts and ideas for future workshops. If you are not going to attend, you are welcome to e-mail us with your suggestions for topics and types of workshops you would like to see Survivorship offer.

Mary Ciofalo MFT “I’ve been a therapist in San Francisco for over twenty-five years, and I’ve worked with dissociation and multiples a good deal of that time. I am also an artist, focusing on painting and tile mosaics...and have written two books.”

Dvora Gordon has been a member of Survivorship for more than ten years and is currently on the Board of Directors. She is trained as a peer counselor and did grief support for many years. “I love Survivorship and I feel honored to be giving back to this organization that has given me so much over the years.”

The workshop will be $50.00 for the day. There are scholarships and work-exchange arrangements available.
