ANTHIHISTAMINE
Promethazine Hydrochloride BP
Phenergan is a long-acting antihistamine for the relief of allergic disorders including hayfever, allergic or itching skin conditions (eg. eczema, dermatitis), allergic reactions due to insect bites and stings and the relief of symptoms associated with respiratory infections including the common cold. Phenergan contains lactose and sucrose.
DOSAGE 10mg: To be taken two or three times a day. Adults: 1 or 2 tablets, Children 5-12 years - 1 tablet.
DOSAGE 25mg: Adults: 1 or 2 tablets as a single dose at bedtime provides relief for up to 24 hours and minimises daytime drowsiness.
These products should not be used in children under 2 years of age because safety of such use has not been established.
CAUTION: This medication may cause drowsiness. If affected do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery.
